Grand Haven Wins 2007 District Championship

The Grand Haven Volleyball captured the district championship with a win over Mona Shores 25-14, 25-23, 25-14 Saturday afternoon at the Grand Haven Fieldhouse. The Bucs balanced offensive attack, combined with consistent serving and aggressive defense secured the victory. The Bucs now move onto regional play next Saturday at 12:00 pm at Forest Hills Central against East Kentwood. Earlier in the day the Bucs defeated Grand Rapids Union 25-3, 25-11, 25-6. The Bucs won their quarterfinal match against Kenowa Hills Tuesday evening. Grand Haven’s record improves to 43-17 on the season. This is the Buccaneers fifth district championship in the last six years.
